Dear students,
We’ll get right into it: As we approach the middle of the semester we ask you to help the Education Center. The ancient wisdom of Kabbalah is a gift that has been handed down for centuries and we believe it should be available to anyone, including those who might not be able to afford to pay for it. That’s why we use a “Pay What You Want" tuition fee. Now is the time we ask. If every person reading this gave $10, we could cover expenses for the semester within a few hours. That’s right, the price of a small meal is all we need. We rely mostly on volunteers but we still have servers, programs and staff to cover, which cost about $25 per student per semester. To protect our independence, we never receive donations from organizations, lobbies or political parties. We’re sustained by the generosity of students and people like you. If the Education Center is useful to you, please take one minute to keep it growing and help us make the Education Center available to all. Thank you.

Development of the Soul - Semester 1

The Development of the Soul - Semester 1 course uses the writings of the greatest Kabbalists of the 20thcentury to introduce the fundamental principles of Kabbalah. Kabbalistic concepts covered include the evolution of desires, the operating program of humanity, the perception of reality and free will. Experienced instructors help you understand the forces that have caused the world to develop from the initial thought of creation until today, and how these forces continue to drive us forward. Each class provides you with the opportunity to ask the instructor questions as the concepts are presented and explained.

The Development of the Soul course gives you the foundation you need to continue your Kabbalistic studies as you learn how to put these concepts into practice.

See Course Syllabus for Development of the Soul - Semester 1

Prerequisites: None

Duration:  10 weeks

Class Schedule: Class meets twice a week.

Recommended Text Books: Development of the Soul Part 1

Development of the Soul - Semester 2

The Development of the Soul - Semester 2 course has two components. In the first, we examine how our initial spiritual desire (called the "point in the heart") grows and develops into a spiritual being. In the second part, the writings of Rabash are used to examine how we can create an environment around us that will help us on our path. An important tool for our spiritual progress will be introduced this semester, as students are given the opportunity to interact with each other in discussion groups under the guidance of our experienced instructors.

Continuing Studies

Following the second semester of the Development of the Soul course, students may elect to continue their studies within the Education Center as we delve into more of the foundational articles of Kabbalah. The exact course offerings change frequently in order to meet the needs of the students and to provide exposure to as much of the Kabbalistic source material as possible. Students will be notified about upcoming plans as they near completion of their Development of the Soul course.

Students may also choose to begin studying with Dr. Laitman in the Daily Morning Lesson on www.kab.tv
