The book Shamati is the collection of 243 oral lessons given by Baal HaSulam and copied into a notebook by his son and student, Baruch Shalom HaLevi Ashlag (the Rabash). Rabash – The Social Writings serves as a guide during the Intermediate and Advanced semesters as students explore the role of the Kabbalistic group and, in the process, discover new insights in their studies. Rav Baruch Shalom HaLevi Ashlag ("Rabash") articulated the human essence of Kabbalah for our generation. Rabash's father and teacher was the great Kabbalist, Rav Yehuda Leib HaLevi Ashlag, (known as Baal HaSulam) who wrote the commentary on The Book of Zohar.
